Our History

Our Founder
Welcome Wilson Sr.
Welcome Wilson Sr., former Chairman of Welcome Group LLC, was a Houston real estate developer for 63 years, known for master-planned communities like Jamaica Beach and Tiki Island. His extensive career included developing apartments, retail centers, hotels and office buildings. He received numerous honors, including induction into the Texas Business Hall of Fame, the Houston Business Journal's Lifetime Achievement Award and an honorary doctoral degree from the University of Houston.
Mr. Wilson served in the Executive Office of the President under Eisenhower and Kennedy and was a significant figure at the University of Houston, leading its Drive to Tier One Status. Additionally, he was once a 10% owner and board member of the Houston Astros. We remember him most as a loving family man and legendary businessman.
