Houston Developer Acquires, Re-Names North Durham’s Eno Venture Park

DURHAM, NC (April, 2022) – Longtime Houston real estate developer Welcome Group has acquired and re-branded Eno Venture Park, the prized north Durham property to be developed into a premier business, science and technology park for both emerging and well-established companies.

Now known as Welcome Venture Park, the 161-acre setting bordered by Old Oxford Road and Hamlin Road will be developed for specialized operations seeking a highly skilled local talent base and an accessible location near Durham with proximity to I-85 and Highway 501.

The forested property offers five points of access including the planned extension of North Durham Road through the project. The setting features roughly one-third mile of frontage along Hamlin Road and about one-fifth mile of frontage on Old Oxford Road.

Welcome Venture Park is located near several existing operations including KBI Biopharma, a life sciences company; Lalilab, a provider of high-quality raw materials for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food industries; and bioMerieux, a worldwide leader in in-vitro diagnostics.
