At Welcome Group, LLC, we endeavor to positively impact the City of Houston and surrounding neighborhoods by being active in the community. Our willingness to serve has long been a staple in our philosophy.
The University of Houston is a passion for the principals of the Welcome Group. Our Chairman of the Board, Welcome Wilson, Sr. graduated from UH in 1949 and has passed his love for the University on to his family. Their love for the greater Houston Community extends to other philanthropy as well.
Welcome Wilson, Sr. and Welcome Wilson, Jr. being recognized by Houston Mayor Annise Parker and Neighborhood Centers, Inc. with the Alice Graham Baker Crusader Award for their service and contribution to the betterment of the City of Houston in 2013.
As a Board Member and former Vice Chairman, Welcome Wilson Jr. assisted in the development of the End Hunger Network and Houston FoodBank facilities.
In 2006, Welcome Wilson, Sr. contributed $100,000 to landscape and beautify a strip of land approximately a half mile long between San Felipe and Buffalo Bayou near River Oaks Subdivision.
