Welcome Wilson, Jr., President & CEO of GSL Welcome Group, announces the signing of a new lease with Ohmstede Industrial Services, Inc. in the city of Deer Park. The 20,120 SF distribution warehouse sits on 2.0087 acres tract of land is located at 801 Georgia Avenue, Deer Park, Texas. The facility is used for pipe fabrication, heat exchange re-tubing and general equipment maintenance. Brad Beauchamp of Colliers International represented Ohmstede Industrial Services while Adam Garrow of GSL Welcome Real Estate Services represented GSL Welcome Group.

The University of Houston System Board of Regents elected new officers for the coming year at its board meeting on June 5.

Welcome Wilson Sr., chairman of GSL Welcome Group, a Houston real estate developer, was elected to a third term as chairman. He was appointed to the board in April 2006 by Gov. Rick Perry and will serve through Aug. 31, 2011. Wilson received a B.B.A. degree from the University of Houston in 1949, where he received its UH Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1970 and the C.T. Bauer College of Business Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1996. He received an A.A. degree from Texas Southmost College in 1946, and received its Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2005.

Houston’s real estate market may not get much better in 2010, but it’s not expected to get much worse.

That’s based on market analysis from four experts who spoke last week at an annual BoyarMiller Breakfast Forum focused on local real estate. Roughly 200 clients and guests of the law firm attended the event at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa.

The property’s tenant is Hagemeyer North America. The building serves as a technical center providing life safety equipment and supplies to refineries located along the Houston Ship Channel and Gulf Coast region. Financing was provided by Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. Welcome Wilson, Jr. and Danielle Gann represented GSL Welcome Group.
